White House Announces Unique Budget Reducing Initiative

Reaction to yesterday’s Health Care Summit was mixed, and has drawn the usual partisan responses from both sides.
While democrats were given more time, and Mr. Obama did have to chastise both Sen. McCain and Rep. Cantor, who brought the 2,400 page bill with him (he was seen doing bicep curls with the bill before the meeting began, so who knows…). Certainly even the staunchest of conservatives would agree that they were given ample opportunity to put forth their ideas. One fact however, is without contention from either the left or the right. The President did an outstanding job of “emceeing” the event and making sure that all ideas had a chance to come to light, and members of both parties were able to speak without interruption.

Yesterday’s summit though, was more than just an opportunity for leaders of both parties to get their thoughts out to the masses. The White house is using the President’s momentum from the summit to help tackle another problem facing the nation as well.

Huge and growing federal budget deficits.

The Obama Administration is nothing if not clever and uniquely aggressive in their approach to solving problems. This latest idea certainly fits that description.

The White House announced today that The President will be made available to emcee other events, with proceeds going directly to pay down our now $12 trillion national debt. Anything from Bar Mitzvahs, to weddings, to retirement parties can now be hosted by The President of the United States and his alter ego: “1st MC”.

“1st MC Productions”, a name just copyrighted by the President’s political action committee, is officially in business. While the price tag is large, the White House views this as a win/ win for the American People. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs remarked, “Not only have we found yet another way to help fight the deficit, but we have also made the President more accessible to the American People.”

Mr. Gibbs also mentioned that Attorney General Eric Holder will be DJ-ing some of the events with the President and arrangements could be made to pay a la carte

for extras such as pictures with the President, Presidential involvement in dancing the Hora, or even removing garters from brides. The White House has also proactively released a statement addressing concerns, which includes information such as, the host family will be responsible for all security and transportation costs, and waives their right to individually market and photos or videos occurring at the event without the express written consent of Mr. Obama, and Major League Baseball.

Mr. Oba…or, 1st MC has already been booked for the Mendelbaum Bar Mitzvah next Saturday March 5 in Rye, NY at an undisclosed price tag. Shane Bonhouse, Media Research Fellow at the Kaelin Institute puts the Presidents fee at anywhere from $5000 to $10,000 per hour, based on industry standards.

Needless to say, conservatives are already attacking the Administration. “We have a lot of concerns about this agenda,” remarked a spokesman for the RNC. “First, who is going to account for the money taken in? Is the President going to pay taxes on this income? How do we know this money won’t just go to supporting Democratic reelection campaigns?”

Reaction from party planners has been overwhelmingly positive, and the President’s Personal Secretary says the phone has been ringing off the hook, mentioning, “He is already booked through the end of the year. But if you leave a message with the date of your event, we will get back to you.”
